Honey Staxx is a multi-talented rapper, singer, songwriter, celebrity writer, actress and improv comedian. Her confident, natural and gifted energy radiates every time she enters a room or stage. Originally from Bronx, NY her talents were discovered as a child. At the age of 8, her after-school performing arts teacher, Mr. Paleo noticed her singing and acting abilities and cast her as Dorothy for her school play, The Wiz. She sang the film’s hit “Ease on Down the Road”. From there her mornings and evenings consisted of tap, ballet, singing, playing saxophone and drama classes.
Honey Staxx continued to develop her craft and came out into the music scene with her first breakout single, “It Ain’t Easy” and also “Love is Music.” The visual consists of top-notch cinematography with a beautiful, royal storyline.
Going a step further, Honey Staxx is the host of The Rap Beat Tv Show and has also appeared in several television series and film including The Wire, Veep Season 3 and We Own This City. She joined Certified Nation Entertainment in which she will be featured in several collaborations within the company along with promoting her own music and endeavors.
On July 23, 2022, Honey Staxx performed at the 2nd Annual Classic Hip Hop and R&B Cookout in Brooklyn, NY. Orchestrated by the legendary Kool Rock Ski of The Fat Boys and Certified Nation Entertainment, the event drew in many enthusiasts of the culture. Staxx impressed audiences with her lyrical abilities, cadence and energy. Soon after, she completed filming for the Netflix film, Rustin and the Hulu series Wu-Tang: An American Saga.
Honey Staxx released her first album, Softer Than Some Ice Cream on Sept 5, 2022. The title track “Softer Than Some Ice Cream”,” Murda” and “Toxic” caught waves, captivating listeners with their intense word play. Another important piece of this album is that it contains features from women only. Staxx’s mission was to celebrate the empowerment of women and she has done just that. “Smoke In the Air” features Autumn Black, Bria Traje and Imani Jewelle. “Gotcha Back” features Raven Williams.
In 2023, Honey Staxx released the smash single, “This Ain’t What You Want”. She also released a video for the song. This led to a “This Ain’t What You Want” dance, work and open verse challenge. She provided media coverage for several events including the 2023 BET Awards. She made a special appearance on the show, enjoying a performance from Ja Rule. Being a consistent creator, she is working on new music and other exciting projects. Her new album titled ICE QUEEN released on 11/1/2023 with a special well know female Hip Hop Artist Rah Digga of Flip mode. Honey Staxx is a proven, quintessential triple threat.
